So I was sick yesterday and called out of work. It was 8:30am when I called out for an 11am shift. I was still sick and asleep until 8am. I’ve only recently come back to this job part time and was unaware we needed 4 hours notice; I remember it just needed to call the manager on duty.
I worked with this company for almost 6 years before I originally left, called out twice in that time. Now I get denied PTO because I was sick and still asleep so I couldn’t follow their “proper procedures.”
Even small businesses don’t give a fuck about you.
