Had a meeting at work where they told us we had to come in Friday if we want to get our holiday pay for Monday, which we off since Christmas is on Sunday. Normally this is a pretty standard policy for most workplaces. But the difference this year, and why they called a meeting, was because Thursday night it’s supposed to rain and then drop down below zero overnight. Meaning driving conditions are going to be dangerous. Despite that, they are doubling-down that we have to come in Friday or we lose our pay for Monday. Shit like this is why I’m a communist.
