i have covid

in September I started working for a certain 3-Letter-named company as a pharmacy technician. Inevitably, i’ve been infected with covid and have been instructed to isolate for 5 days. This company, as least in my state (PA), is no longer required to provide emergency covid pay for employees who have to stay home and isolate. Instead, we have to use our accrued sick time. Unless you’re like me, and you haven’t been working at the company long enough to be eligible to use sick or vacation time. In that case you’re just fucked and probably won’t have enough money to pay your rent next month because you’re only paid $16 an hour and live paycheck to paycheck as it is. Am I missing something? Is there anyway at all I can be compensated for this time I have to be away from work? I hate it here lol.
