My buddy got approved for time off for Xmas eve and Xmas months ago. He planned to visit me, then due to “staffing issues” he was told last week he had to pick one of the days, but “would get time and a half.” He picked Xmas eve and texted me apologizing, but saying he’d need the extra cash.
Since he’s only working a 4 hour shift, he’s still getting less than he normally would, and then also got stuck having to go in today as well, as his coworker quit after yesterday’s shift. So, he was approved for both days off, got guilted into going in both days for less money and more bullshit and had No holiday at all…..for a fucking gas station.
