A while ago I tried to apply for a new job or apprenticeship, to get away from my current job with awful work hours. Ended up finding a few interesting positions on a job search website.
Had to make an account for that job search site to even get to the application form, and within 2 days got 10 ad E-Mails from said site despite having declined the newsletter.
Then had to turn my written application into a PDF so it would upload. Then had to re-type my entire application in a web form. But despite having input everything correctly, the button to send it off did not unlock.. on not a single application that I tried.
So I thought “maybe I should do it directly to the company I'm applying on” and visited the website to get an email adress (because the search site refused to display contact info). Instead of an email adress I got sent to, you guess it, a web form to input my application info AGAIN. I did not even bother with that, and instead sent my application off to whatever email adress I could find for that company. Never got an answer though. Called to try and send in my application in an envelope by mail, and needed the address.. got told “please use the online application form”..
I know this is an antiwork subreddit, but even finding a new job or position has become hell. What the hell is this shit? Why would I go through all that crap just to send an application on good luck? Employment has become hell..
