I’ve been working at this new place for about 6 months now, it’s a call center type job but for properties. People call in and report damage to their property & i just send someone over to fix it.
Not gonna lie, it started off kind of smooth. Had a little 2 days of training and after that they just basically threw me in the deep end and told me if i have questions to ask co-workers. I did that and after asking co-workers i would hear them telling each other how they’re getting kinda pissed off with my constant asking.
1 week in the manager had a full blown argument in the group chat with a employee, calling names and asking about her education level, crazy stuff.
Whenever i didn’t do my job right they would go to the manager and complain, manager comes in and without asking any questions goes straight to yelling. The next day i’m sitting at my desk in the back, i get a message from my manager saying “ you’re supposed to be at work “ i respond with: but i am? She says: you’re not sitting at your place. I respond with; yes i am, she then doesn’t reply for a while and tells me that my co-worker didn’t see me and that’s why she said that.
I immediately told her to ask before accusing me then.
As of lately we been shortstaffed because alot of people quit, i’ve been working almost everyday and during night hours until morning.
Last night i was working till morning again, in the AM there was supposed to be a co-worker to take over, she was late.
I stayed and wait until she got there, i let her know that i was going and then i left, a couple minutes later i get a message saying: Someone told me u left without checking if your replacement was there, from now on can u check before leaving?
I replied: i checked and left after, the replacement was late & i also sent proof i waited.
We lost 12 employees in the last 6 months.
I’m started to get exhausted with this job, managers accusing me of stuff & not replying to important messages but being active in the group chat.
Sorry if it’s a long story but i just had to vent, this is getting crazy.
