I was great till I wasn’t

I work in a supporting function. In October I get a pay raise back dated to June. I get told I am doing great and they appreciate my work. Come December we lay off a lot of folks. I wasn’t on the list, they needed me to execute the layoffs. A month later in my performance review, I get told I am not even meeting basic expectations. Told me that I am not at the level my manager expected me to be at. Guess what these expectations aren’t even set. No goals even. I pushed for that and created clarity but they say they cannot justify my salary to the others. I took things in my hands, found another job and they sent me several case studies and I was the best out of all candidates. The role is for the same level I am at now. Will resign soon.…

I took things in my hands, found another job and they sent me several case studies and I was the best out of all candidates. The role is for the same level I am at now. Will resign soon. Could have just fired me instead of putting me through this. Since the review everyone started treating me differently.
Btw they didn’t even collect feedback from my biggest stakeholders who are are very happy with me. Idiots. Wonder how I will manage 3 months of notice
