What should I do about my career?

I went to a secondary training educational program to become a sys admin. It’s a course we we attend for 7 months and we learn all about administration. The school helps us create a resume that outshines our actual skills and experience. Anyways, I finally got a job as a sys asmin. And initially it was laid back and not as stressful. But as time went on and as I grew older I started to question whether I want to keep this career. I feel as if I’m not technical enough and lack the skills sysAdmins have which makes it hard to understand everything especially technical things. I also do not have the motivation or drive to continue learning about it.

Today I got a message from my project lead that the second sysadmin on the team will be moving to a different project in the company. I relied on him as a safety net to fix senior level issues that I don’t know how to solve. Hearing this news made me very upset and filled with anxiety. I had thoughts about just being on the job market again and looking for the same job with a team oriented environment instead of a individualized environment. I like this job because for the money of course, it’s less stressful than a developer position, and remote work ability.

I’m the type of person who needs clear step by step direction in order to compete a task or job. My mom was a controlling parent and raised me that way. She forced me to sit next to her every time I did school work and I was raised that way. Without direction and clear steps, I feel very lost and don’t know what I am doing…

Some things that I may be interested in is vlogging , social media influencer, tik toker… something to do with social media. But my fear and anxiety steps me.
