does the new California minimum wage apply to me?

I work at a small business restaurant. Just wondering if the new wage applies to me as well. I assumed it did because every time I googled it said all employers. My app is telling me I'm still being paid $14, but right now I'm giving a grace period to my employers in case it hasn't been updated. I'm waiting until the end of the pay period to say something if it isn't fixed if it has to be
