First salaried position. Need help.

I'm posting this here because I think you guys will give me the most realistic and harsh advice/criticism. I'm being offered my first salaried position. 23 employees, Commercial linen so we wash hotel sheets and the linen from restaurants. 2-8 employees during my shift. Up until now I've just been the afternoon/evening washer+ 6 days a week (the plus is because I'll handle small things the regular manager would normally do if he was here like occasionally getting small orders together and keeping certain areas on the up and up. Recently I've started to do a bit extra stuff like building certain storage cubes so we can get things more organized). Now I've been offered a position where on top of normal washing, I'll be in charge of the employees working during my shift in an attempt to keep things moving as it's the kind of place where once “the…

Now I've been offered a position where on top of normal washing, I'll be in charge of the employees working during my shift in an attempt to keep things moving as it's the kind of place where once “the boss” is gone things will slow down. Shift manager essentially. As an hourly employee I understand wanting to stretch your hours and most of the time these other employees will get what “needs” to be done but the extra stuff is piling up and creating problems. So I'm tasked with keeping other people on task, keeping the whole back of the warehouse as tidy as possible, and in general just keep things rolling. The goal is to hopefully over the next couple months get things more organized. Especially for the other employees as I think I can help make this place somewhere where everyone likes to work and gets paid well to do it.

The meeting is Monday to talk about the salary and other expectations. I'd like help on how I should talk about things and what/if I should ask for outside of $ amount being deposited in to my account every week as this will be my salaried position and leadership role outside of a kitchen. Right now I would like 1 Friday off a month so I can go back to playing MTG at the local shop. Also any advice on how to make things easier for the other employees is super welcome. Thank you
