Geo-Fencing Clock In

I have a hybrid work schedule. 3 days WFH 2 days in office. My boss has decided to begin using a clock in service that WON’T WORK unless we’re at a location we’ve already set up. Which is extremely frustrating for me as I work on the go A LOT. Whether this is sitting at my favorite coffee shop, or joining my partner on a studio pick up drop off run (he’s a producer) or something else I’m not always home. Still working just not HOME, which to me is fine and well within the acceptable boundaries of remote work. I did a quick google and the main draw is that it eliminates time theft. Does anyone know how to get around this? I would like to continue my normal day to day routine and this definitely cramps my style. The app is called Connecteam if that helps. I’m just…

I’m just so pissed off that my employer is really taking the time to do this, it’s a waste and feels extremely invasive. Why does it matter WHERE I get my work done as long as I AM getting my work done?
