what can i do if my boss is not following up on my workers comp paperwork?

in november, i was injured at work (a dog bit my hand and broke half my thumb nail off). i was TTD, so unable to work, for about a week, and then returned for one more week before i quit. last time i had an injury at this job, i was contacted by my boss's insurance company pretty quickly to verify the details of what happened and to see if i was eligible to be compensated for the time i took off. this time, i have heard nothing after two months. the reason i quit this job is because when i had my injury (once again, a dog had my hand in its mouth and was chewing and shaking it) my boss insisted that i NOT report it, NOT seek medical attention, and allow him to treat it (he is a veterinarian). i feel pretty confident that hes blowing the…

the reason i quit this job is because when i had my injury (once again, a dog had my hand in its mouth and was chewing and shaking it) my boss insisted that i NOT report it, NOT seek medical attention, and allow him to treat it (he is a veterinarian). i feel pretty confident that hes blowing the situation off in retaliation for me not listening to him and then quitting afterwards. one of the doctors i saw for my injury suggested i might have to talk to a workers comp attorney. does anybody know anything more about what happens in a situation like this?
