Did I get threatened by my colleague today? Feeling upset and unsatisfied with managements handling of the issue.

In between my shifts at work today I went to the salon to get a haircut. A phone number I don’t recognise calls me and I pick up in case one of my colleagues need my help with anything. The colleague who called me was extremely aggressive with his tone on the phone and starts accusing me of laughing at him at work and he’s clearly outraged about it. He says things like “you fucking idiot”, “I’m not your little friend so who are you to laugh at me”, “I’m bigger than you, much bigger than you”, “you need to come to me tomorrow at work and talk to me”. I’m of course very scared, shocked and confused as to what he means. After my haircut I immediately call the other colleagues I worked with that day and my boss to inform him of the incident. My boss and the owner talks about this in a meeting, and after calling the colleague in question, my boss comes to me during my second shift to update me on what they concluded. Basically, the colleague in question thought me and the other coworkers were laughing at him when passing by the kitchen he works in, when we were laughing about something entirely else. I had made eye contact with him and greeted him as usual and he responded like he normally would. According to one of the coworkers I was laughing with, he tried to run after me to have a “talk” with me about why I was laughing. But he didn’t make it before I left so he demanded to get my number from her. And that’s when the call happened. My boss and management basically says that both sides did wrong and says that the angry coworker revealed that I’d joked about him being gay/teasing another coworker too much so he felt the need to protect the other coworker. I’ve never teased anyone about being gay at work. The ones I comfortably joke with are only two other ladies and we’re all close. The rest I also talk to and joke with, but ofc with stricter boundaries. This man who yelled at me has directly worked with me maybe once and I thought we’d established a mutual respect work relationship. The place we work at is a restaurant, I serve the guests and he’s usually in the basement prepping. Idk what to think about this incident or what to do. I’m upset and don’t feel too good though. Help.
