I got called into the CEO's office the last 5 or so minutes of my shift and he told me they are making changes, eliminating my position, and letting me go. They are going to have the new controller take over the things I worked on. Where he will make about 10x more money doing them. I thought it was different there. It was a B Corp. They cared about their employees. They made us feel valued. I get paid through the end of the week and the CEO wants to help me find a new job. The only positive I can see in this right now is that there was nobody I was comfortable with talking about my pro-choice views. I was the only one who mentioned my pronouns in my email sign off. Maybe this is a good thing because I can find somewhere that I can be my true self.
