So I work at a garage/ car wash essentially I've been there since October when it went under new ownership (owners live out of state have been here once). within a month the manager at the time was fired for assaulting me at which point I told them I wanted his position and hours they hired someone else (there are only two of us that work there ) I work part time this person works full time. It was told to me early on they were probably gonna pick this new person to be the new manager ,so fast forward a few months to today and my coworker tells me they finally officially offered them the position but not as a manager but as a shift lead and it didn't come with much of a pay raise but meant not just working on cars but also doing maintenance on the car wash etc. so my co worker said he's gonna do what he's been getting paid for working on cars and keeping the place clean. I'm wondering if it's worth even mentioning to the owners again that id take the manager position since they passed over me once.
Tldr:coworker turned down a management position I wanted before they where hired and I'm wondering if it's even worth trying to get said position
