I just got laid off.

I should preface this by giving some context: I'm a 25 Y/O dude that's been trying to find independence for the past 7 years. I've been bouncing from odd-job to odd-job, from a cashier at a deli store, to working in a warehouse lifting crates of products, I've been a canine hairdresser and also vet assistant, and lastly I caught a WFH style job. I was quite happy with this last one because it meant I could work comfortable and however I pleased. Even if for American standards I was making a misery ($450 a month) I was making about double of min income in my country (take a guess). What I find most amusing about my experience is that I always got laid off and the reason I've been given is that the economy is in shambles and we need to reduce costs. Nothing personal just business. This is all they care about, just numbers. We are all just a number. There's no humanity in the current work culture.

Sorry I'm just so pissed about doing my darn best effort and not being even taken into account. If their numbers say they don't need you anymore then there's literally nothing you can do. /ventoff
