Question about interviews

I'm starting the process of applying for a new job. Despite being told in the interview that my monthly bonus would always ensure that my income would be higher than my previous job, I find myself in the position of not being able to pay my bills for the last three months. My question: would an interviewer object to me asking to record our interview? I would explain that it would allow me to focus on our conversation and not need to worry about taking notes. Would that be a red flag for them or would it be seen as a reasonable request? It's a shame, because I actually like my job, my manager, and my employer. They just don't see the need for a cost of living increase or a change in our bonus structure. The entire department is on the hunt for new positions.
