So for context I have been off work sick from 5th/9th, total of four days, all of which I followed procedure and contacted the business to notify them of my absence. I let shift managers on the prior shift know or left a voicemail if nobody was available as per policy.
That's my responsibility done in my eyes, I'm not obligated to answer calls for any reason to anybody.
The 10th/11th/12th are rest days, not scheduled.
I received calls on each of these days which have been missed/ignored as I don't see a reason to speak to work on rest days.
Today I received a letter stating they tried to contact me on the 8th/9th/10th/11th and was unsuccessful, that being unreachable is a breach of absence policies.
Can you class it as being unreachable when I have let them know on scheduled work days that I'd be unable to attend.
