just a disclaimer, I understand work can suck and business owners can be dicks
BUT……..
I have been reading many posts in this subreddit, and it seems that many people in this fourm that have really really shitty experiences with bosses is because they work menial jobs that anyone can do. (this is not an insult)
I have found when you work jobs that almost anyone can do… warehouse, fastfood ect ect people treat you as disposable because you are. (well maybe not as much anymore)
In this world I dont think a person working at a warehouse or delivering packages for amazon is ever going to get the respect they deserve at work, because anyone can do their job.
I guess my point is, instead of being bitter and working shit jobs filled with asshole managers that dont respect you because they hate their jobs too. Or that look at you as a low level worker bee. Why not learn a skill that makes you some money?
Why not find a company that appreciates you and is grateful for your talent?
I fix production lines when they go down. I taught myself about electrical controls. For some reason I can usually do it very quickly. This provides me with an extreme amount of leverage because a few minutes difference in getting a line running can save a company tens of thousands of dollars.
Being good at my job means that pretty much nobody fucks with me……..EVER. I cant even think of the last time that somebody was rude to be or offered me a shit wage.
