Boss told co-worker he was changing my shift “because I need to be trained back to the level I once was at”

I have been at this job for 5 years. My boss pulled me in to the office and told me that he will be changing my shift to work with my manager so she can “take me under her wing”. I took this as a hint to better opportunities in the future, and I thought it was because I have been working my ass off and he was seeing that. The conversation had me re-thinking all the applications I have sent to other companies, finally! My boss pulled me in to the office and told me that he will be changing my shift to work with my manager so she can “take me under her wing”. I took this as a hint to better opportunities in the future, and I thought it was because I have been working my ass off and he was seeing that. I guess my silent search for a new career continues. It honestly really bummed me out. My bare minimum work ethic starts tomorrow, I’m done.

TLDR: after searching for a new job my boss told me my manager will be taking me under her wing, making me think the future might be bright. just to find out it’s actually because they believe I need to be completely re-trained.
