I work at a Home Services Company and I applied to be the new Permitting Coordinator after the previous one quit. Boss told me I wouldn’t be able to get a raise and that I would mess up a department when I take vacations so they don’t recommend me taking that job. BUT every single time we get a new permit admin for another trade, they train with me because “I am the senior permitting admin” despite being the newest one, and when we get a coordinator they are sitting with me so I can train them
So I’m good enough to teach them but not enough to lead. Fucking hypocrisy
