I applied to a job that offered me 31k/year in hourly wages, but if you calculate it actually equals 29k a year. Am I missing something or have I been swindled? I brought it up to their HR consult and they said that that is the wage determined by their salary sheet.

I just graduated college and outside of retail associate position I’ve not had a real job with benefits before. So I’d appreciate any guidance here. Update: Individuals in the comments helped me realize that I was just calculating wrong. Thank you very much c:
