I have 34$ in my bank account. I have worked diligently for the same company for 5 years.

I have worked the same job for 5 years and after depositing my most recent pay stub and paying my bills, I have 34$. What is the point of working, if at the end of the day you have enough for 2/14 days to get to the next payday?
