Ex-job claims they paid out my sick PTO but I never got the money

I used to get paid to take care of my mom. I stopped in August 2022. In December, I got a paystub in the app where they post paystubs showing a check for $500 that was paying out my sick PTO. I thought cool, but I was nervous because I moved and I thought they might mail it out. I called them to change the address and they confirmed it would be mailed to the new address. Not having received it, I called them today to ask if they mailed it out yet. Now they are claiming that I shouldn’t pay attention to that check stub because my PTO was paid out in November. I checked my account and it never hit. I called the bank and they never got a payment from them in November.

I requested the paystub that supposedly paid my PTO in November and even though the direct deposit info on the stub shows the last 4 digits of my bank account, it has the wrong address and social security number. Clearly, they fucked up.

Now they are claiming that a wrong address and social shouldn’t affect a direct deposit. But if the wrong address and social were on the paystub, it is also possible they deposited it to the wrong account.

Now I don’t know what to do or how to get my money.
