I work in California (for a company that has their home office in Texas). Just got paid and noticed they paid out 4 days of “unused PTO”. On the one hand, I can always use 4 days extra pay; on the other hand, it would have been nice to accrue those days and use them along with this year's PTO time to make a decent length vacation. (Overall, I don't get much time off)
I've never had an employer do this, so I'm wondering if this is a common practice?
