This is probably extremely obvious to this sub, but felt like this was the best places that I could get some feelings off my chest. Here goes:
One of the biggest lies or pieces of propaganda fed to the working class (at least in the US culture) is the idea that a company or service can be both profitable and about helping people. These circles do not overlap.
Companies that are for-profit (and most non-profits too) can never be altruistic no matter how hard they try to push their really catchy mission statement. The Primary goal will NEVER be others' welfare. It will always be second to turning profit.
