I can’t believe how hard it is to get a job!

For reference, I'm a younger millennial (tail-end). I went to college later than my peers so I graduated several months ago. I have a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. I have over 5 years of business/marketing/finance experience. For reference, I'm a younger millennial (tail-end). I went to college later than my peers so I graduated several months ago. I have a degree in business administration with a concentration in finance. I have over 5 years of business/marketing/finance experience. Around 3 years is from internships during college and around 3 years is from working for a small business (before college) owned by a family member (before Covid began) which went out of business a couple of years ago. I helped a lot with marketing and advertising which helped me realize what I wanted to do for a long-term career (hence, why I decided to go to college as a non-traditional student and major in BA).

I had my resume fixed up and checked while I was a senior in college last year and the career development center said it looked great. I also had it checked by a few other professionals. I'm searching for remote work. I've met many people who work remote in marketing and business over the past few years so I know it's out there. I've applied to many remote positions in my field and used my resume that was professionally checked over and adjusted multiple times. I can't seem to land anything though. I've tried indeed, LinkedIn, handshake, etc.

What's even more depressing is I'm not even being picky in terms of pay. I don't care if my salary is not high. I just want a remote job in my field that has health insurance and job stability. I already own a house that I bought years ago (it was a steal of a deal because the owner wanted out immediately after her husband passed away so she accepted my cash offer at 30% below listing). So it's not like I'm looking to save for a home. Since I graduated college several months ago, I've applied to hundreds of remote jobs. I've gotten some interviews but a majority of the jobs end up being false advertising. “No, we don't provide health insurance.” “No, it's actually a 1099 job.” And so on.

They do NOT disclose this in the job descriptions so I always find out during the interviews. There's also been some interviews where I just didn't end up getting the job even though it was the ideal job and the interview seemed to go well. The HM would tell me I'm an ideal candidate then string me along and poof, suddenly nothing. Right now my priority is a stable, consistent job with benefits that I can work in long-term. I really don't care about the pay. I would honestly be fine with $50k as long as it had job stability and benefits, insurance, and so on. I have a paid off house, paid off car, no kids, so I really don't care about a lower pay if that means benefits, job security, etc. Is that really too much to ask?
