Talking to a lawyer about options

I feel helpless, lost and trapped. I have complained about my excessively high workload for over six months. I took stress leave for a week because I was feeling so stressed I physically was becoming unwell. After this, nothing was done to support me until I escalated the issue to upper management. My boss took this as a personal attack and things have gotten even worse. Not only is my workload still high, I am now being criticized and micromanaged in frequent emails from my boss. This never happened (in my 5 years in this job) until the issue was raised. I truly love my job, and my fellow colleagues, but this is becoming so toxic. Upper management said HR and herself would be monitoring the issue and for me to send daily reports of my workload, but I have not received any feedback from anyone and this was mentioned…

This never happened (in my 5 years in this job) until the issue was raised. I truly love my job, and my fellow colleagues, but this is becoming so toxic. Upper management said HR and herself would be monitoring the issue and for me to send daily reports of my workload, but I have not received any feedback from anyone and this was mentioned before Christmas. I've tried to stick this out and think talking to a lawyer about my options is the best next step. I'm so sad and frustrated that this is even a consideration.
