just watched a video of an admin asst who makes $20 an hour to just answer phones and file stuff.
i am also one and i make $15 an hour in montana, 25F, family owned dealership but they are LOADED.
let me tell you what i do.
i do titling and registration, notarizations, register our business licenses, report employee hours, any “go fetch” task my bosses need, order stock and office supplies, keep inventory of everything we buy including calculating the cost and net of inventory, send out wires, answer phones, handle all customer info and contacting, i make sure my bosses personal vehicles are registered on time as well, various basic filing, after my boss “sells” something i finish out the whole deal including all the financing if customer chooses to go said route, i have tons of excel experience, countless experience with windows software and CRMs, i clean the lobby and bathrooms.
essentially i am a slave here. i do anything from scrubbing a toilet to creating amortization schedules for people. so it’s a wide range, there’s more i do but i’m not going to bore you all.
just plain and simple, am i underpaid?
(plz don’t be mean i am from a small town and other jobs here pay similar or worse so i have always just compared pay levels to those)
