In the middle of a snowstorm, owner won’t let them leave

my (25f) fiancé (26m) is at work at a shoe store right now in okc. We are in the middle of a snowstorm and the roads are bad. He could barely get out of the driveway this morning when it was barely snowing. His store owner said the employees can’t leave the store and have to stay the entire day because it “isn’t bad where he is”. HE ISNT EVEN IN THE STATE. My fiancé said he didn’t think he could get home in this weather and the owner said “it’s Oklahoma, someone has a truck”. No one at the store has one and we don’t know anyone with one. They aren’t allowed to go get lunch because he doesn’t want anyone leaving and not being able to get back to the store. He said they could order food but no one is delivering anything. If they get stuck there…

If they get stuck there with no food and no way home could he not get in trouble?!?!
