The position above mine is trying to convince me and our manager that I can help with their easier work. I explained to them that thier position is responsible for that work and they are compensated for it. I am not. It isn't in my job description and the extra work is the only reason they are paid more then I am. So without compensation for added responsibility I would not be doing it. They were not happy that I stood up for myself…..but hopefully this is where it ends and they don't try to go above my head (again, since they had already spoken to the manager about it). I will stand firm if management trys anything.
They did try to down play the pay difference but I said the amount doesn't matter.
