I keep getting rejections from remote jobs.

I am currently a security guard looking to change careers. Ever since the pandemic I wanted to work from home and I've been applying continuously and I've been rejected by every single work from home job I've applied to. My work history: besides doing security, I worked for half a year at a computer repair shop as a intern, prior to that I would help my dads business at his store. I did go to community college but I did not get a degree. I do have fast typing speed at around 80 to 100wpm and I know various Microsoft office experiences except for excel.

I've been applying to a lot of remote jobs but I am constantly getting rejections. Even from entry level remote jobs I feel like I could do where the job description is: fast typing speed, fast wifi, HS Diploma, and quiet work space. Even these jobs will reject me. My mom and aunt both managed to get a work from home jobs and both of them didn't even go to college. My mom didn't even graduate high school but she did work for years in the office prior to this. I asked my mom how she got into her job and she got into her job by word of mouth. When I do get call backs or email responses to my resume I find out the company is either a scam or a MLM.

It seems like the only way I get a job is through knowing someone. That is how I managed to get into my security guard job. But when I blindly apply on LinkedIn or Indeed I am getting constant rejections. What can I do to get my resume seen or get interviews?
