Department needs IT a support very bad, we have for one year. I cannot even edit a WORD document, which is very needed. I take it up the ladder. Upper management tells me that “I am only here for the money” More details in comments.

So our entire department has had major IT issues. I cannot do much of anything.
Direct managers cannot help. I take it up with upper management again.
I have been to everybody that I can, including HR. I am asking for the ability to work. That is it. Today, in a meeting with just me and upper management, I was told that “I get nothing, because I do not play the back scratching game good enough and IT does not owe me a favor”

So I asked, “I still get paid”

that is when he lost it, saying I am only here for the money.
Why else why I be there. It would just make my day easier having the ability,

Why tell me I get nothing, when I get paid?

I wanted to point out he was wrong, I do not play the game at all. In order to not play it good enough, I would have to play.
I can prove what I do by how I do it, not who I do it to.
