My 4yo nephew has been in the icu following a bad accident in his sitters car. His mom has been by his side in the hospital ever since. 7 days so far. Nephew is still very sick off vent now. Very much in need of his mother. She’s used all her vacation days and now her supervisor said if she doesn’t come to work tomorrow time off will be counted against her. She should qualify for FMLA, based on size of employer and employment history. My sister is young and didn’t know what FMLA was.
She’s calling Human Resources and filing paperwork tomorrow.
I know everyone is short staffed right now but damn that was a low move.
