When literally just applying for a job…especially if I know I don't have one because I've never even talked to a police officer… I don't understand why I'M responsible for that cost if it's for the organization's purposes.
edit: I ask bc I was just asked to consent to both undergoing one (fine, working with vulnerable populations) AND paying for it myself. I just said no because I don't see why I should pay for it lol. It also said that this has to be done before being considered for employment.
