I run a small store for a big corporation. I am the third from the bottom on pay scale, but I work very well by my self. So I was giving my own store. I work above my pay grade because I get bored most days. Sometimes I only 5 customer compared to a big store that has 30 to 40 a day. I am very happy with the fulfillment my job gives me and I have a decent work-life balance .
The only issue I have in my manager is a complete dick. I hate him with a passion,but I'm 30 mins away from his face and don't have to deal with him but once a week when he” checks my book” , well today was that day and he tore me a new one for no reason beside he did not read the notes right. Look I'm at fault a little because I'm dyslexia and spelled a word way wrong in my note….my bad.( Complacent versus compliant)
In tears I call a higher up to go over my books again to make sure that my books are good,he said” I'm not going thru your books cuz you run the best store in our area for how little business you get. Tell so and so To call me. ”
I said ok I would and thank him, he said” I dislike him as much as you do and don't understand how he is a manger and your not”
I let him know I was working towards my degree and in three ish years I would do him proud. He told me to make it in two years jokely, and that if I have any questions from now on to go straight to him and he might take over my once a week look over.
