So I can say so confidently that I understand why I’ve gotten let go from my previous jobs over the past few years, you know, the constantly calling in, the clocking in late all the time & things in that nature. But THIS job. I would never. Matter of fact I’m just so mad because I never did. So when you first start there’s this thing where is you call in without a doctors note there is absolutely no mercy. You’re fired. You can’t call in for the first 90 days (also its rare you get two days off in the same week btw). I’ve worked so hard and literally made it to that mark after working 6-10 days straight every week. My 90 day review was about a week and a half ago and it was them just letting me know I’m off probation and yatta yatta. Boom still haven’t called in but i get called to the office on my 10th day of working without a day off & my boss is about to begin speaking, i immediately cut him iff and say i don’t want to speak or continue without a union steward present. He then proceeds saying “ok go find one then” i say “ok” as I’m getting up. He says “never-mind they all called in” i sit down and he proceeds talking so i pull out my phone to record what’s about to happen and he says “are you recording this” i said yes. He makes me turn it off and he says “okay matter fact since you want to do all that I’m just gonna give it to you straight” “were letting you go because your work ethic has slowed down…” i didn’t say much but man its almost like since my very first day I’ve only had a FEW weeks where I’ve gotten two days off in one week with insane hours… I read the “union rights” book and one of them was that your boss isn’t supposed to continue without a union steward if you asked for one. Buttt yeah i got fired and i let the union know of the situation, hopefully i can get my job back…
