Are you leaving because the room is too warm? [Manager is clueless]

At my current job I've been doing well, but was told they can't or won't pay more. I'm doing skilled work and being paid equal or less than some fast food. So I browse job listings. Found a new job, desperate for people, starting pay is $5000/year higher (without proving that I can do the work; hired on the spot), promise of more pay once they have a couple months to evaluate my work, I'm in charge of the area I'll be working in, there's an automatic week of paid vacation (between Christmas & New Year's)… Oh, and it's in a nicer & much safer area. The downsides? Starts 30 minutes earlier, is 10 minutes further to drive, and no health insurance or even reimbursement. I sent my 2-week notice. Current manager asked if I am leaving because the room I work in is too warm.
