Do Uber drivers not know the company charges customers up the rear in fees?

Ordered some food on Uber and the driver canceled, just before he canceled he left a snarky message saying “next time you’ll learn to tip”. Unfortunately once the order is fulfilled, canceled, or driver cancels, any messages between you and the courier disappear otherwise I would’ve loved to share it with you guys. My thing is, we’re being raped in fees, like with my example $15 for a food delivery. Otherwise I’d love to tip. So why’s it on the customer to pay the employee their salary? I’m sorry to sound like a jerk but it’s not my fault Uber takes a huge chunk and gives the drivers not much out of that. I’d personally love it if the drivers got the majority of those insane fees but nope, we have to tip which results in drivers abruptly canceling and leaving disgruntled messages like that. What do y’all think?
