Haven’t been paid at my new job since the beginning of the month

I started working as an assistant in a salon at the start of January on the weekends and I still haven’t been paid. Is this normal?? Idk since it’s my first job and I only work 2 days a week. Also sorry if this isn’t the right sub to ask this question
