I work at a tribal casino, so we only follow federal laws. In my position, depending on the day, I make $8/hr + tips and sometimes I make $19/hr flat.
I’ve been having an issue with payroll for the last 6 weeks because the days where I’m supposed to be making 19/hr I am only being paid $8. They have been paying me back the extra 11 but it takes anywhere from 2 to 4 weeks to see the rest of that money. Is there something that can be done to make sure I’m either paid properly right away, or at least get the rest of my money as soon as possible? I’m tired of having to wait a month for the second half of my check, only for my next check to be wrong again. If I don’t constantly remind my manager to contact payroll for the issues, it will go unnoticed.
