Rotating shift work

Since September I’ve been working as a temp at this plastic factory in town. I feel somewhat tricked because I was told it was Mon-Fri 8 hour shifts. (7:30-3:30). It was great to start, coming off of another factory job where I worked 7-7 Mon-Thursday it felt like I had so much more time at home. About a month in they tell me that they are dropping the 8 hour shifts for temps and want us all working rotating shifts like the rest of the hired employees.

It’s now the 7am-7pm I tried to escape from my last job, only worse because every 2 weeks we rotate to nights..

The only reason I stuck around was because of paid breaks, and the boss is pretty cool so we get a half hour break every hour and a half- which I’ve never seen before in a factory job. Problem is my sleep is entirely f****ed up and i feel like my brain is in a constant fog lately. Switching days to nights back and forth has just scrambled me.

But I’m afraid to leave because of the past few jobs I’ve had, dickhead bosses, getting yelled at, low pay, I’m not ready to handle any of that again. It’s causing me so much anxiety being afraid to jump and pursue the things I’m actually interested in again. (Adobe Animation, recording music).

Any advice would really help.
