Diabetes as a disability?

I have had diabetes(type 1) for almost 20 years. Whenever I have applied to a job there’s the question are you disabled? I have always put no and never read what all is covered as a disability until recently and diabetes is on the long list of what’s covered. Things are slowing down at work and management is starting to get nit-picky and I’ve been getting talked to recently about checking my blood sugar or taking insulin(5-10 minute gaps in my work activity). I tell them I had to take care of my diabetes and then I get told make sure I tell someone. I work in a giant warehouse and most of the time I have to hunt down management and I feel like it’s unsafe to spend the time looking for them versus just going and getting it taken care of. My job and my bosses have known I’m diabetic since the interview process and I’ve been at my job for 2 years. It’s only started to be a problem the last 2-3 months.
