My former manager and I work for the same company. When I was under her she never disclosed her pay. I recently got a promotion to the same position as her and I told her I made $18/hr and she still stayed quiet.
Yesterday I get a raise because they “adjusted the pay scale” and I’m up to $19.50/hr. I asked if she got hers and she said no.
I told her I made $19.50 and she lost her shit saying “wow that’s as much as I make”.
I’ve been doing this job for 6 months.
She’s been doing it for 10+ years.
