I currently work as a security guard making slightly above minimum wage at around $10hr. I've been applying to various jobs constantly and I've been rejected from the vast majority of them. The only jobs that seem to want to contact me are other security guard jobs. I want to get out of being a security guard and into something more tech related. I live in an area where most of the regular jobs here pay $10 to $12 an hour. So I would just be hopping from one shitty paying job to another. I've probably edited my resume dozens of times by now but it is still no luck. I can't even get an interview. What am I doing wrong and how can I job hop effectively?
