I quit my toxic job!

I finally quit my job and left my toxic workplace! My micromanaging, egotistical, passive-aggressive supervisor will have to fend for herself. She had made me feel so horrible that I had a burnout last year. I told my boss if things didn't change that I would leave. He told me that's how she is and there is no changing her. He then changed my schedule to something outside of rush-hour, so my commute became incredibly difficult (instead of 1.5h home, it'd take me almost 3h, for a total of 4.5h borh ways per day). So, I sent out my CV anywhere and everywhere, and 2 months later I got a job! I gave 1 week notice and everyone was shocked. My boss didn't think I'd quit. He was happy for me though. HR called and asked if more pizza lunches would've helped! Such a big disconnect with reality… My new…

My new job is a 6-month contract in a completely unrelated field that desperately needs workers and pays well. I figure it can't be worse and if I really don't like it? I'll have other options once my contract is over (while I'm on EI).

There is hope! Just make sure you have a job lined up.
