Today during our lunch period, between 1100-1300, our manager decided to pop up. Unfortunately, I had decided to take my allowed 30 mins at the same time she arrived.
About 45 minutes later they announce a conference call via email to be held in 5 minutes, yes only 5 minutes to notice and call in.
She enforced the 30 minute lunch period and further shared if you need more time you have to take leave.
IMO 30 mins is not near enough time to travel, eat, digest, etc. It's wild to me that such a restriction can be held over employees heads and it's sickening to my mental health. Less micro managing and more freedom increases my productivity.
