Backstory: I work in an academic science university setting. I am the ONLY employee of a core lab which provides services to researchers on our campus. We recently heard a rumor that one person was unhappy with a service. My bosses’ solution is to send out an anonymous survey for our lab. My bosses say they are very happy with my services, and this is to show that ‘we care’ about getting feedback from researchers. I feel like this is very unfair as I am the sole employee, they want this to be anonymous, AND they are aware of the issues I have had with this one researcher on campus and the bosses have not made an effort to mediate or intervene in the situation. I appreciate thoughts and advice!
