Background: I work in the childcare industry where I hear “nobody wants to work anymore!!1!” constantly. In my interview, she mentioned she values employee's work-life balance. We agreed upon a 8 hour shift and it was fine. 3 weeks later, she asks if I'll work rotating shifts or 4×10 schedules. I politely decline. This is what I receive. 🙂 Funnily enough, in the orientation pamphlet, they tell us not to quit because “what will the children think?!?”. I'm done with this industry.
