So I work at a Sonic, it is stupid, but I make it work for me because I skate/tips are good. But I have worked this job a number of times over the years and I now do the job of carhop and drinkmaker while on skates and am only paid at the lower (carhop) rate. I have told them I only want to be scheduled shifts where I carhop and can skate and they just said “well we're all crew” to which I responded “fountains make more hourly, I need that rate if I'm doing their job as well as mine.”
Was told we would talk in person almost a week ago to have the manager schedule us on different days and lo and behold I'm still scheduled to do both jobs for three of my shifts this week. What would y'all do? I'm scheduled today to do both jobs for three hours before help comes in.
**Bonus stupidity, the printer that shows how much cc tips we make each day has been down for two weeks. This paycheck I worked 9 more hours than last and made $50 less on cc tips. I know it fluctuates, but they managers seem to get mad when I ask about checking my cc tips each day. I think they are stealing and I don't know wtf to do
